Background:
Nick was raised initially on Earth in England until the death of his father when he was only four. His father died in a construction accident while working at the Space Corps construction yards around Lunar, Earths moon. Just before Nick was due to start school, he moved with his mother to Lunar City Three where he met Eugene Preston, an Oretan, and they became good friends. He spent most of his youth causing harmless mischief around the Lunar cities with Eugene, and their friend Reg, an Alexan who suffered from a serious debilitating disease which resulted in, at the time, half of his limbs being cybernetic.
Before Nicks sixteenth birthday, his mother committed suicide at her workplace in Lunar City Four. She'd been classed as clinically depressed not long after the death of Nick's father, and it was a surprise to many that she'd actually lasted so long without a previous suicide attempt. This only lead to an increase in Nick's irrational behaviour and he was very prone to mood swings and his own bouts of depression. This was only made worse when Reg left Lunar to finish his education, and Eugene moved with his parents to Ganymede. However Nick managed to pull himself together before he did himself, or anyone else, any serious harm. He decided to put the piloting skills he'd developed illegally to use flaying freight for the Sol System Freight division of the GSF. This lasted just less than six months, and Nick managed to get himself into the Space Corps fighter division, mainly because the transport of freight didn't really put his skills to much use, that and he found it incredibly boring. Not long after his primary training, which he passed top of his class and ahead of schedule, the Akiran War broke out and Nick was sent to the front lines. After a great number of successful skirmishes, Nick was promoted to Wing Commander of Crescent squadron. At the close of the Akiran War all further records are classified.
Some years later Nick resurfaced and public records have been re-instated. He now works as the Captain of the Ionian Transport Haphazard and is believed to be the sole remaining human being alive.
