Crixons - Small parasitic creatures with six legs. Not dissimilar from the standard Earth cockroach, they manage to infest even the most protected cargo, and have a strong affinity for anything stored in Duranium. To enter a container made from a Duranium alloy they excrete acid mucus onto the surface as they attempt to chew through the container. Although Crixons prefer Duranium containing materials they have been known to have an affinity for Aluminium, Iron, and any composite alloys. They have also been known to chew through PlasSteel™ during times of desperation.
The only known way to protect something from a Crixon is to surround the container with an energy field, or to run a weak electric charge through the metal that is so weak most galactic patrons cannot even feel it, yet it manages to cause the Crixon to have a heart attack and die.
Zeiliks - A race of bipedal insect-like creatures from the planet Zeil. Many people find it difficult to deal with Zeiliks, which is strange really because they don't even scuttle about like their much smaller brethren throughout the galaxy, that find fun in terrorising the meek, or weak willed.
